Loading ...LITTLE ROCK (KTHV-TV)–This week, the central Arkansas chapter of the American Diabetes Association is holding its annual diabetes camp.
The camp is for those with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and is being held at Camp Aldersgate in Little Rock. All week long, the kids have learned about ways to take care of their diabetes, while getting the opportunity to meet with other kids who also have diabetes. They learned how to manage their diabetes when swimming or attending sleepovers.
Barrett, from Little Rock is attending the camp for the first time and explains what it’s been like, ”It’s been helping out a lot with counting carbs and figuring out how many shots of insulin.”
