Diagnostic anomaly: Illinois girl leads to creation of registry to detect rare form of diabetes

Lilly Jaffe was only a month old when she came to know the prick of a needle. Nine years later, she became the catalyst for passing an Illinois law – the first of its kind in the nation – to establish a statewide registry for a rare form of diabetes.
