We bring that need to the attention of the KRTW doctor. In addition, your child’s medical records travel with KRTW staff all day at the event. Lastly, we hold a Parent/Child KRTW Orientation before the event so parents can meet with the doctor and discuss any concerns.

how do I prepare my child for this physical day? At the Parent/Child KRTW Orientation before the event, the KRTW doctor will discuss ways parents can help their child prepare for this event. Topics include adjusting basil rates on pumps, the amount of insulin to take the day before KRTW, the type of food to eat before the event, etc. But, the best course of action is to contact your child’s doctor.
